Irish Horse Racing is an independent guide for anyone who loves racing in Ireland, whether you go once a year to Galway or work in a yard every morning.
What you'll find here
- Festival and racecourse guides with the practical details: when meetings usually run, the big races, how to get there and where to stay. Every fact is linked to its source, and each page shows when it was last reviewed.
- Racing news from Irish and British newsrooms. We show the headline and link you to the publisher for the full story.
- [Racing jobs](/jobs) posted directly by yards, studs and racecourses.
- [Horses for sale](/horses), mostly former racehorses looking for a second career, listed by their owners.
Independence
We're not connected to Horse Racing Ireland, any racecourse, trainer or bookmaker, and we don't publish betting tips. If a page ever includes a paid link or a sponsor, it will say so clearly.
Who runs this site
Irish Horse Racing is run by Daniel Mac Sweeney. My background is in building websites and online publishing: I'm also the founder of BlokStreams and OpenLenz.
I'm not a trainer, a jockey or a tipster, so I don't write from the yard. I research each guide from published sources, such as Horse Racing Ireland and the racecourses' own pages, link those sources so you can check them, and review the guides to keep them up to date.
