Every racecourse on the island of Ireland, from the Curragh to Downpatrick, with the big meetings and how to get there.

Ballinrobe
Mayo's only racecourse, a slightly elevated right-handed track near Lough Carra that stages ten flat and jump meetings between April and September.

Bellewstown
A hilltop course above the Boyne Valley in Co. Meath, where racing was first recorded in 1726, known for relaxed summer evening meetings and picnics on the hill.

Clonmel
Powerstown Park, on the edge of Clonmel in Co. Tipperary, is an undulating right-handed track racing all year round, best known for its jump racing in autumn and winter.

Cork (Mallow)
A galloping right-handed track on the banks of the Blackwater near Mallow, Co. Cork, with around 20 flat and jump meetings a year and an Easter Festival as its highlight.

Down Royal
A right-handed track at Maze, near Lisburn, and the only course in Northern Ireland with both flat and jump racing, famous for its Grade 1 Champion Chase each autumn.

Downpatrick
A tight, undulating jumps course a mile from Downpatrick town, with racing records going back to 1685 and the Ulster National as its feature race each spring.

Dundalk
Ireland's floodlit all-weather racecourse, just north of Dundalk in Co. Louth, where Flat racing runs through the winter and greyhounds race on the same site.

Fairyhouse
A right-handed galloping track near Ratoath in Co. Meath, about 23km from Dublin, best known as the home of the Irish Grand National every Easter Monday.

Galway
Galway's racecourse at Ballybrit, about 6km from the city centre, has staged racing since 1869 and hosts the seven-day summer festival that ends on the August bank holiday weekend.

Gowran Park
A scenic dual-purpose course just outside the village of Gowran, 13km east of Kilkenny city, best known for the Thyestes Chase every January.

Kilbeggan
A volunteer-run National Hunt course in Co. Westmeath, racing since 1840, with mostly evening meetings from spring to late summer and the Midlands National in July.

Killarney
A scenic course on Ross Road, a short walk from Killarney town, with the MacGillycuddy Reeks as a backdrop and racing in festivals through the summer, mostly in the evening.

Laytown
Laytown is the only race meeting in Ireland run on a beach under the Rules of Racing. It takes place once a year, in September, on the strand in Co. Meath.

Leopardstown
Leopardstown is Dublin's only racecourse, six miles south of the city centre. It races all year, on the Flat and over jumps, and hosts some of the biggest meetings in Irish racing.

Limerick
Limerick Racecourse at Greenmount Park, near Patrickswell, opened in 2001 just off the M20. It races all year, with a four-day Christmas festival and the Munster National in October.

Listowel
Listowel Racecourse sits beside the town in north Kerry and has staged racing since 1858. It is best known for the seven-day Harvest Festival each September.

Naas
Naas Racecourse sits on the edge of Naas town, just off the M7 in Co. Kildare. It stages around 20 meetings a year, mixing jumps racing in winter and spring with Flat racing in summer.

Navan
Navan Racecourse is at Proudstown, about 5 km from Navan town in Co. Meath. It stages Flat and jumps racing but is best known for its winter National Hunt meetings.

Punchestown
Punchestown, just outside Naas in Co. Kildare, is a National Hunt course best known for its five-day festival each spring. It also has Ireland's only cross-country banks course.

Roscommon
Roscommon is a summer course just outside Roscommon town, racing on the Flat and over jumps, mostly on evenings between May and September.

Sligo
Sligo Racecourse at Cleveragh is a short walk from Sligo town centre, with Flat and jumps racing through the summer and views towards Benbulben.

The Curragh
The home of Irish flat racing on the Kildare plains, where all five Irish Classics are run, including the Irish Derby, with racing from spring to autumn.

Thurles
Thurles is a family-owned course just west of the town in Co. Tipperary, best known for winter jumps racing on ground that rarely lets a meeting be lost. Racing is set to continue there until at least March 2027.

Tipperary
Tipperary Racecourse at Limerick Junction is closed while Ireland's second all-weather track is built, with racing due to return in October 2027. It is the only Irish course next to a railway station.

Tramore
Tramore Racecourse sits above the seaside town of Tramore in Co. Waterford, with views over Tramore Strand. It is best known for its August festival and its New Year's Day meeting.

Wexford
Wexford Racecourse at Bettyville, 1km from Wexford town, is a jumps-only course racing from March to November and best known for its summer Friday evening meetings.
