By using Irish Horse Racing, posting a listing or advertising with us, you agree to these terms.

Guides and news

Guides are general information. Dates, prices and transport change, so always check with the racecourse or operator before you travel. News headlines link to their publishers, who are responsible for their stories.

Job adverts

  • Adverts must be for a genuine vacancy and must not ask applicants to pay for anything.
  • Adverts must comply with Irish (or, in Northern Ireland, UK) employment and equality law.
  • You're responsible for how you recruit. We're not an employment agency and don't vet employers or applicants.

Horse listings

  • You must own the horse or be authorised to sell it, and describe it honestly, including known injuries or vices.
  • Sales are between buyer and seller. We don't inspect horses, hold money or guarantee any sale. Buyers should see the horse and arrange a pre-purchase vetting.
  • Welfare comes first: we remove listings that appear to put a horse at risk.

Prices are shown before you pay and include any applicable VAT. A listing runs for the period stated from when it goes live. If we remove a listing for breaking these terms there's no refund. If something goes wrong on our side, email hello@irishhorseracing.com and we'll put it right or refund you.

Racecards, results and replays

  • Racecards and results come from a third-party data provider and are updated through the day. Runners, riders, times and going can change and data can contain errors, so check with the racecourse or Horse Racing Ireland before you travel or rely on it.
  • Race replays are YouTube videos published by Horse Racing Ireland. They belong to their owners and are shown through YouTube's player.

Betting and gambling

We don't take bets and nothing on this site is betting advice. If you bet, you must be 18 or over, and only bet what you can afford to lose. Free, confidential help is available from GamblingCare.ie on 1800 936 725, 24 hours a day. See our safer gambling page.

Advertising

  • Advertising is for businesses. By booking an ad you confirm you're acting for a business.
  • Ads are monthly subscriptions, paid through Stripe, that renew each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the private link we email you; your ad runs to the end of the month you've paid for, and there are no refunds for part-months.
  • Every ad is checked before it goes live. If we can't run your ad, we refund your payment in full. Once an ad has run, we can still pause or remove it if it breaks these terms or our advertising rules. If it does, there's no refund for the current month.
  • You're responsible for your ad: it must be legal, honest and not misleading, and you must have the right to use its pictures, video and wording. You agree to cover any claims against us that arise from your ad's content.
  • We don't currently accept gambling or betting ads.
  • Ads are marked "Sponsored". Showing an ad isn't an endorsement of the advertiser.
  • We share each ad's space fairly with other advertisers, and we don't guarantee a number of views or clicks. The figures on our Advertise page are our own real counts.

What we remove

We can edit or remove any listing or ad that is misleading, unlawful, offensive, spam or breaks these terms, without notice.

Liability

We provide the site as is. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for losses arising from listings, ads, transactions between users, betting, or reliance on the guides, racecards or results. Nothing here limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

These terms are governed by Irish law.
